Watford twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Udinese in their pre-season friendly at Vicarage Road.
It was the Serie A side that took the lead after a Silvan Widmer header from the right side of the Hornets' box went in at the far post.
The score remained the same into half-time with Watford hoping to respond quickly and they did just that as Lewis McGugan scored a trademark free-kick from 25 yards out to level the scores.
Udinese regained the lead 15 minutes later as Cyril Thereau got through and finished well from the left side of Watford's box.
It looked like Udinese had done enough to win the encounter, but Watford came back once again and a cross from the left side was headed home by Mathias Ranegie on 81 minutes.
Watford had the chance to win it when Ranegie rounded the keeper only to overhit a pass intended for Odion Ighalo, who was all alone on the penalty spot.
