Quique Flores's future as Watford boss beyond the end of the current season is in major doubt, according to a report.
The Spaniard has won just three league games in 2016 after seeing his safe-from-relegation side step off the gas.
Watford still have an FA Cup semi-final meeting with Crystal Palace to come this weekend but, according to The Mirror, the result in that Wembley showdown will not be a factor in the board's decision.
Flores is said to have a 12-month break clause in his two-year contract, which will allow him to depart the club this summer should he wish, but it is claimed that the ex-Atletico Madrid is happy to stay in place.
However, the same report suggests that Watford's players are fully expecting their head coach to be given the shove following their slump in form this calendar year.
