Watford have reportedly entered the race to sign Italian striker Alessandro Diamanti.
The 32-year-old, who currently plays for Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, was believed to have been the subject of recent interest from Aston Villa.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Villa will now face competition for the former West Ham United player's signature from the Hornets.
The report adds that Watford have already opened up talks with the 17-capped centre-forward, with a deal potentially being concluded in the near future.
