Watford are reportedly close to signing Keith Andrews on a season-long loan from Bolton Wanderers.
The 33-year-old midfielder was apparently told on Tuesday that he has no future at the Reebok Stadium.
Sky Sports News reports that Watford have acted quickly to offer the Republic of Ireland international a way out of the Trotters and he will speak to them over the next 24 hours over a possible one-year deal.
Andrews moved to Bolton on a free transfer in the summer of 2012, but has only made 29 appearances for the club and spent last season on loan at their Championship rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.
He has previously played for nine other clubs, including in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers.
