Champions Borussia Dortmund found the net on five occasions during their trip to Werder Bremen this evening.
German international Marco Reus broke the deadlock with just nine minutes on the clock, before his international colleague Mario Gotze added a second goal for Dortmund 10 minutes later.
The visitors continued to dominate for the remainder of the half, but they were unable to find a third goal before the break.
Brazilian defender Felipe Santana put the match out of Bremen's reach when he scored from inside the area three minutes after the restart.
Jurgen Klopp's side continued to push forward and in the remaining 10 minutes they claimed further goals courtesy of Polish internationals Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski.
