West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has reportedly been advised to follow a special training programme for the foreseeable future.
Despite being linked with a move away from The Hawthorns during the summer, Berahino remained with the Baggies and featured in the starting lineup during the opening weeks of the campaign.
However, he was left out of the squad for the game with Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and according to Sky Sports News, that is partly down to being put on a training regime to improve both his weight and fitness.
It has been claimed that the 23-year-old was several pounds overweight when tested by staff during the international break and that has led to the attacker being given a specific plan to follow in order to return to the shape desired by his club.
Berahino has played five times this season but he has not made a first-team appearance since September 10.
