West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke has claimed that new signing Nicolas Anelka is a "favourite" among the players in the squad.
The Frenchman has previously been called 'Le Sulk' in his career, suggesting that the former Chelsea forward may not have the best temperament.
However, Clarke has refuted these suggestions, claiming that the 34-year-old has "settled well" at The Hawthorns.
"[Le Sulk] is an image that is portrayed in the press, but I find him to be a very engaging character, a very good person and he has been great in the group here," BBC Sport quotes Clarke as saying. "He has come in and settled well. He is already a favourite among the players."
Anelka signed a one-year deal with the Baggies this summer.
