Steve Clarke has confirmed that he has scouts planning for January, as West Bromwich Albion could lose two of their top goal scorers.
Chelsea may recall Romelu Lukaku from his loan spell at the Baggies, while Peter Odemwingie is likely to feature in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The West Brom manager told Sky Sports News: "It's a situation I cannot control, but I can't spend my time worrying about it.
"It won't be a problem. We know the possibilities that could happen in January and we know what we will do if that happens.
"I'm not telling you my plans. But I have to manage a football club with the help of my staff and scouts. We have six scouts having a planning meeting about potential targets and you have to think ahead."
Shane Long has the most goals for the Hawthorns side this season with seven, while Lukaku has five and Odemwingie has netted four.
