Former Real Betis boss Pepe Mel is reportedly one of three managers being considered for the vacant role at West Bromwich Albion.
Mel was sacked from the La Liga outfit earlier this month after a disappointing start to the campaign in Spain, but they did perform well in the Europa League under the 50-year-old.
According to Sky Sports News, Mel has already held talks at The Hawthorns, and more are expected over the coming days as the Baggies look to make an appointment before the end of the year.
It has also been reported that two other candidates make up a three-man shortlist, but Mel is considered to be the frontrunner for the position.
