West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has said that Saido Berahino must show discipline if he is to fulfil his potential.
The young striker netted the only goal of the game as West Brom beat Hull City 1-0 this afternoon, but his short career has been marred by a series of off-field incidents, the latest of which being an upcoming court appearance for drink-driving.
Pulis has said that, although he has been "very impressed" with the 21-year-old so far, he has urged Berahino to make the most of his talent.
"I've been very, very impressed with his training," Pulis told reporters after the win over Hull. "He's worked very hard, he's technically a very good player.
"He's got his whole footballing career in front of him, he's been given a gift by God and he's very fortunate.
"The most important thing that he can do is make the most of it. He has to understand and recognise that to be a professional athlete, and a good professional athlete, you have to be disciplined."
Berahino's strike in the win over Hull takes his tally of Premier League goals this season to nine.
