West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has admitted that on-loan attacker Serge Gnabry needs to show a big improvement if he is to play a part for the Baggies this season.
The German Under-21 international joined West Brom on loan from Arsenal in the summer, but has only made one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term.
Pulis has claimed that the attacker, who made nine league appearances for Arsenal during the 2013-14 campaign, 'has not been at the level required' in the opening months of the season.
"Serge has come here to play games, but he just hasn't been for me, at the moment, at that level to play the games," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"He's come from academy football and not played much league football - does academy football really prepare players for league football? And we're talking about Premier League football here.
"You pick your best team, you don't leave people out because you don't like them, because of this, that and the other."
West Brom return to Premier League action at home to Leicester City this weekend.
