West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has suggested that his side fully deserved to beat Aston Villa in their derby clash this afternoon.
The Baggies won 1-0 at Villa Park after a first-half goal from Saido Berahino, and Pulis suggested the match was made for the striker, who made his first start for the club since a 0-0 draw with Watford on August 15.
"Villa can have no complaints - we deserved this. The game was made for Saido, he was desperate to play," Pulis told reporters after the match.
"We were first class. I thought [Darren] Fletcher and [James] Morrison bossed the game - they were outstanding.
"Credit also to our fans for how they supported Saido."
West Brom will take on Norwich City in the League Cup on Wednesday evening.
