West Bromwich Albion have played down reports that a number of players were involved in a dressing-room fight following Saturday's 3-3 draw with Cardiff City in the Premier League.
It had been claimed that forward Saido Berahino was singled out by his teammates for giving the ball away in the build-up to Cardiff's late equaliser.
Despite admitting that the players were angry with the situation, the Baggies have dismissed rumours of a violent confrontation.
"Tensions were understandably running high in the dressing room after Cardiff's late equaliser, but the incident has been sensationalised in the media," a spokesman said in an official statement.
"What happened is not uncommon in a dressing room and shows that the players care. The players involved have apologised. The club has drawn a line under the matter and is now fully focussing on Saturday's important game at Norwich."
West Brom are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table, three points clear of the relegation zone.
