Sports Mole takes a closer look at the individual performances during West Brom's 4-0 victory over Burnley.

West Bromwich Albion picked up their first home win of the season on Sunday with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.

Craig Dawson opened the scoring for the hosts on 30 minutes before Saido Berahino doubled their lead on the stroke of half time.

Berahino found the net again 15 minutes after the restart, while Graham Dorrans sealed the points in stoppage time.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the individual performances of the players involved at The Hawthorns.

WEST BROM

Goal

Ben Foster: The West Brom goalkeeper had a quiet afternoon between the sticks, though he did pull off a fine save to deny Jutkiewicz's goal-bound header in the second half. (7/10)

Defence

Andre Wisdom: Showed good ambition by getting forward to help his teammates in attack while getting back to defend when necessary. (7/10)

Craig Dawson: Capped a decent performance at the back by netting his first goal for the club. Took it well after using his strength inside the box to nod home. (8/10)

Joleon Lescott: The centre-back looked composed throughout, giving the Baggies a calming presence deep in their own half. (8/10)

Sebastien Pocognoli: Put in an impressive shift, bombing forward when possible and working hard to perform his defensive duties. The Belgian is quickly becoming a fan favourite due to his endless energy and dynamism. (8/10)

Midfield

Graham Dorrans: Struggled to influence the game as much as his midfield colleagues, but made his mark late on by sweeping a sweet effort into the net to make it 4-0. (7/10)

James Morrison: Provided West Brom with plenty of enthusiasm across the pitch, moving from box to box with authority and cunning. (8/10)

Chris Brunt: Pulled the strings for the home side, using his expert vision and passing to keep West Brom constantly ticking over. (8/10)

Craig Gardner: A relatively low-key afternoon for Gardner, though his part in West Brom's midfield dominance should be acknowledged. (7/10)

Stephane Sessegnon: While West Brom caused Burnley numerous problems at the back, Sessegnon found it difficult to make an impact with his usual blend of pace and trickery. (7/10)

Attack

Saido Berahino: The youngster led the line well in attack, making lots of good runs in behind the Burnley defence. His first goal was a simple finish from close range, but his second had all the hallmarks of a striker who is full of confidence. (8/10)

Substitutes

Giorgios Samaras: His physical presence up front failed to trouble Burnley for the final 15 minutes. (6/10)

Cristian Gamboa: Showed plenty of energy when he was introduced in the final 10 minutes and set up Dorrans for West Brom's fourth goal. (7/10)

Claudio Yacob: Did not have much of a chance to make his mark after coming off the bench with just three minutes of normal time remaining. (6/10)

BURNLEY

Goal

Tom Heaton: Despite conceding four goals, the Burnley shotstopper saved his side from further embarrassment with a couple of good saves. (7/10)

Defence

Ben Mee: While those around him were struggling to cope, Mee gave a good account of himself in defence. (7/10)

Kieran Trippier: Looked overwhelmed for large parts of the game as West Brom mounted attack after attack on the Burnley goal. (5/10)

Michael Duff: Was unable to deal with West Brom's movement in and around his own penalty area, often appearing out of his depth. (5/10)

Jason Shackell: Similar to Trippier and Duff, Shackell could not deal with West Brom's fluid attack on a disappointing day for the Clarets' back line. (5/10)

Midfield

Michael Kightly: Tried to make things happen for his side in the second half, though he was limited for most of the game. (6/10)

Scott Arfield: A passenger for large parts, Arfield did not give Burnley enough fight in central areas. (5/10)

Steven Reid: The former Baggie put in a disappointing performance against his old club when he should have been making things difficult for his former teammates. (5/10)

Ross Wallace: Was almost a non-entity in the first half, leading to his withdrawal at the break. (5/10)

George Boyd: The Scot is the type of player who enjoys good days and bad days, and this was very much the latter. Barely worried West Brom in the final third and did not do enough from a defensive point of view. (5/10)

Attack

Lukas Jutkiewicz: The striker toiled away in attack, though he was not given the service needed to threaten. Almost pulled a goal back in the second half, but his header was clawed away by Foster. (6/10)

Substitutes

Nathaniel Chalobah: Bolstered Burnley's midfield in the second half after picking up a booking about 30 seconds after he came off the bench. (6/10)

Ashley Barnes: Assisted Chalobah in providing the away side with bit more urgency, though this was short-lived. (6/10)

Marvin Sordell: Should have given the visitors some spark in advanced areas during the final 20 minutes, but struggled to do so as Burnley faded. (6/10)
