Goals either side of half time from Ben Davies and Pablo Hernandez have given Swansea City a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
Despite an end-to-end start to the match, it was Swansea who looked far more threatening and took the lead in stylish fashion midway through the first half.
Hernandez managed to dig out a cross from the right and it found left-back Davies coming in at the far post who crashed a volley into the roof of the net.
Nicolas Anelka, making his return for West Brom, had a chance to equalise just after the half-hour mark, but he flashed his shot wide.
Chances were few and far between at the start of the second half, with Wilfried Bony almost connecting with another Hernandez cross.
West Brom centre-back Gareth McAuley had an opportunity to level the score but sent his header from six yards over the crossbar in the 71st minute.
Hernandez rattled the crossbar with a curling effort with five minutes left but made sure of the result moments later by finishing from Michu's calm pass.
Swansea's first win of the season sees them climb off the bottom of the table and up to 16th, while West Brom slump to the foot of the table with just a single point.
