West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew "disappointed" at backroom changes

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew says that he will continue to get on with the job after seeing the club's chairman and chief executive sacked this week.

Alan Pardew has confessed that he was "disappointed" at West Bromwich Albion's decision to part company with board members John Williams and Martin Goodman during a turbulent week for the club.

The Baggies responded to Monday night's 3-0 loss at Chelsea - extending their disappointing Premier League run to one win in 25 since August - by removing their chairman and chief executive.

Pardew, who has also had to contend with four of his players breaking a curfew and getting in trouble with police in Barcelona, insists that he will simply continue doing his job amid talk that he could be next to walk.

"They are good people and I was disappointed if I am honest but the club made that call," he told reporters at his weekly press conference on Friday afternoon.

"We have a new CEO and I have met him and we are going to move forward together. All these situations you can't be certain of your job, you just have to do your job. I am an experienced manager and will try to get us out of this situation."

Albion, bottom of the table and seven points from safety, turn attention to FA Cup commitments this weekend when taking on Southampton in round five.
