Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has reportedly turned his search for a winger to former French youth international Jires Kembo.
Mackay was thought to be eager to sign Jefferson Montero, but Mexican side Morelia rebuffed the approach for their Ecuador international.
As a result, the Scottish boss has moved on to Kembo, who currently plays his club football in the United Arab Emirates for Al Ain, according to the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old joined his current employers last summer following six-year stint with Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The report added that Mackay is also keen to sign West Bromwich Albion's Peter Odemwingie.
