West Bromwich Albion have stepped up their interest in Bristol City defender Aden Flint, according to a report.
The Baggies need to bring in a replacement centre-back after losing Jonny Evans to Leicester City in a cut-price £3.5m deal earlier this week.
Flint is seen as an ideal candidate to fill the void, and the Birmingham Mail suggests that Albion will now rival Middlesbrough and Fulham for the 28-year-old.
Due to the increased interest, it is claimed that Bristol City are holding out for as much as £9m for one of their key men.
West Brom, preparing for their first Championship campaign in nine years, are also understood to have shown an interest in Brentford midfielder Romaine Sawyers.
