Wigan Athletic boss Malky Mackay has called on his team to stay positive following their defeat at home to Huddersfield Town.
The Latics were beaten 1-0 at the DW Stadium on Saturday to keep them five points adrift of safety in the Championship table.
Despite seeing his side lose for the seventh time in nine league games, Mackay wants his players to remain upbeat as they fight for survival.
"That's just the way it is at the moment and we've just got to make sure we get our heads back up and don't get too downhearted because the performance was reasonable and we've got to make sure we take that into next week," the Scot told the club's official website.
"We've got to be better all over the pitch; we've got to be better and put more demands on the 11 that are out there, we need higher quality in their performance or even the ones that we may bring in."
Wigan are back in action on January 31 when they travel to promotion-chasing Ipswich Town.
