Wigan Athletic youngster Antonee Robinson's proposed move to AC Milan has collapsed at the 11th hour.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Latics from Everton in July, flew to Milan for a medical this afternoon after a £10m deal was seemingly agreed between the two clubs.
According to The Sun, the deal fell through after Wigan demanded that Robinson's transfer fee be paid up front rather than in installments.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports News has claimed that the collapse was instead due to delays in the results of the player's medical, meaning that the transfer deadline in Italy passed before the deal had been completed.
Robinson, who represents the USA on the international stage, is now said to be on his way back to the UK, although it is unclear if he will be part of the Wigan squad playing Leeds United in the Championship tomorrow afternoon.
