Wigan have rejected an offer from Aston Villa for French international Charles N'Zogbia, according to Sky Sports News.
The West Midlands club offered £10m for the winger but it is believed that chairman Dave Whelan values the player higher than what has been tabled.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs this summer including Everton, Newcastle United and Sunderland, although the two North East sides have since ended their interest due to the high asking price.
The bid comes as Alex McLeish is looking to improve his squad following Ashley Young and Stewart Downing's departures to Manchester United and Liverpool respectively.
