Brazilian defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo has earned a start for Wolfsburg against Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, who make three changes to the team that drew with SBV Excelsior on Saturday as Luuk de Jong returns up front.
Gustavo, who failed to make the bench in Wolfsburg's 2-1 loss to Manchester United, is part of an otherwise unchanged lineup from the team's 4-2 victory over Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Julian Draxler, Max Kruse and Bas Dost all begin for the German outfit, while former Chelsea player Andre Schurrle continues to reside on the bench.
The big news for Philip Cocu's PSV side is that top scorer De Jong returns to the lineup after a spell on the sidelines with injury.
Other changes from the Dutch side's 1-1 draw with SBV Excelsior are Simon Poulsen replacing Santiago Arias at full-back while Adam Maher comes into an attacking midfield spot at the expense of Jurgen Locadia.
