Hannover have produced a fine performance to beat Wolfsburg away from home in their first game in the second half of the Bundesliga season.
The hosts started the contest strongly with a lot of possession, but Hannover were defending rigidly. However, the away side had Ron-Robert Zieler to thank as he produced a fine save from Diego.
A few minutes after that the visitors took the lead. Artjoms Rudnevs was played in by Mame Biram Diouf to finish coolly one-on-one to move his side ahead in the encounter.
However, the lead lasted just seven minutes as Ivica Olic pounced on a rebound in the box to tap in from close range.
When it was looking like Wolfsburg might go on to gain the advantage, Leonardo Bittencourt slammed the ball in low from the edge of the box.
After Kevin de Bruyne fizzed an effort from range over the bar, it got better for Hannover when Bittencourt added his second following a swift counter-attack.
