Ivica Olic scored a second-half winner as Wolfsburg claimed a 2-1 victory against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga this evening.
The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute through Ricardo Rodriguez, who was slipped through on goal by Kevin De Bruyne following a fast break and slotted an effort past the keeper.
Luiz Gustavo then saw a close-range effort deflect wide of the post as Wolfsburg looked for a quick second.
Marnon-Thomas Busch levelled the scores for Werder Bremen eight minutes before half time, with a powerful strike that beat Raphael Wolf at his near post.
With the game approaching the hour mark, Wolfsburg regained the lead when Olic headed in from Vieirinha's cross.
Aaron Hunt and Sebastian Prodl both fired wide for the visitors late on, as Wolfsburg held on to claim the three points.
