Wolfsburg playmaker Diego has revealed that he wants to extend his current deal with the club.
The Brazilian has endured mixed fortunes with the German outfit since moving from Juventus in 2010.
The 27-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Atletico Madrid, but has featured heavily for the Germans so far in the current campaign, and admits that he wants to stay at Wolfsburg.
"I want to renew, extending my relationship with Wolfsburg is my goal. I'm working on it," said Diego.
His current contract with the club expires in 2014, but Diego has conceded that he wants to remain with Wolfsburg now that former boss Felix Magath is no longer in charge.
"Now we are free of the dictatorship of Magath," he added.
Diego has 33 caps for Brazil.
