Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has claimed that the team are close to improving their fortunes.

The Midlanders currently sit 16th in the Championship after taking seven points from their opening six games.

Jackett has said that he is looking for his side to pick up some consistency in their forthcoming fixtures.

"There's a lot of promise, I don't think there's been no good form, or good spells, or good individuals performances, but the whole thing needs to settle down," the 53-year-old told the Express & Star.

"With many people's futures, and some of our big players' futures, under question in contractual situations, the sooner we can settle that down, get into a rhythm, and build on the good promise we've shown. I don't think we're far away."

Wolves face Brighton & Hove Albion next up on Saturday.
