Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly failed with a £4m offer for Cardiff City striker Joe Mason.
Head coach Kenny Jackett is a known admirer of the 24-year-old, and earlier this summer had two bids rejected for the former Plymouth Argyle man.
According to BBC WM, Jackett has renewed his interest in Mason by making an improved bid for his signature, but that has been turned down by the Bluebirds.
Mason, who was signed for £250,000 in 2011, has scored twice in five Championship matches this season.
