Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Sam Saunders has been forced off during the early stages of the League Two playoff final with Southend United.
The 31-year-old, who is currently on loan from Brentford, received a kick to his ankle just three seconds into the match after the ball was played back to him from the kickoff.
Despite his best efforts to continue, Saunders was substituted by manager Gareth Ainsworth, who opted to bring on Matt Bloomfield in his place.
Before today's game at Wembley, Saunders had made 14 appearances for Wanderers since joining the club at the end of February.
