Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson has praised the performance of his players after they held high-flying Preston North End to a 1-1 draw.
Gozie Ugwu gave the Glovers a first-half lead at Deepdale last night before Sylvan Ebanks-Blake equalised for Preston 14 minutes from time.
Despite being denied the three points late on, Johnson believes that his side can be proud of their display against the promotion chasers.
"I was really pleased with the first-half performance and I thought we deserved that goal," he told Sky Sports News. "In the second half they showed their Championship qualities, getting in cross after cross. We dealt with most of them and didn't deal with one.
"A 1-1 we'd have took at the start of the game. We're disappointed as we were 1-0 up but that new team in there has got four points in two games. That's what we need to get ourselves out of trouble."
The result has kept Yeovil at the foot of the League One table, though they are now just two points from safety.
