Zenit St. Petersburg keep alive their slim hopes of Champions League qualification thanks to a late 2-2 draw with Malaga.

Zenit St. Petersburg have kept alive their slim hopes of Champions League qualification thanks to a late 2-2 draw with Malaga at the Petrovsky Stadium.

The Spaniards had already secured their qualification through to the knockout stages, but Victor Fayzulin's late goal has given Zenit a slim chance of progressing.

The visitors scored two goals in as many minutes to give them the upper hand at half-time as Diego Buonanotte and Sebastian Fernandez both struck early.

Danny pulled a goal back for the home side at the start of the second half, before Fayzulin found the net with four minutes left on the clock.
