Owen Coyle has admitted that he is excited by the challenge posed by Wigan Athletic's Europa League campaign.
The Latics, who qualified for the competition by winning the FA Cup, face Zulte Waregem tomorrow evening in Bruges, and manager Coyle insists he is looking forward to juggling their continental commitments with their bid to earn promotion from the Championship.
"We might play about 60 games this year, but we knew what we were signing up for when we came into it and it is a challenge we all want to take on, both as staff and as a group of players," the Scot told reporters.
"These players are up for it and we know game by game and month by month, we will get better as we go. That is why I think we are set for such an exciting season."
Wigan are currently 15th in the Championship.
