Kimi Raikkonen coy on Ferrari future

Kimi Raikkonen says that he isn't worried about his future with Ferrari, despite a poor first season with the Italian team in 2014.

Kimi Raikkonen has claimed that it "won't be the end of the world" if he leaves Ferrari at the end of the season, despite growing pressure on him to deliver results.

The Finn endured a tough first season back at the Scuderia in 2014, finishing 12th in the drivers' championship and failing to register a podium finish.

However, while Raikkonen is looking for improvement this year, the 2007 world champion is relaxed about his future beyond the end of the forthcoming campaign.

He is quoted by PA Sport as saying: "There is an option on my contract. It's up to me and the team to do a good job this year, and if it goes badly and I don't sign it, I don't sign it. It won't be the end of the world.

"The aim is to do well, and there's a big chance. If everybody is happy then I am sure we can do well. We'll see what happens in the future. I don't worry about it or have to think about it. We'll find out at some time."

Raikkonen has won 20 grands prix since his Formula 1 debut in 2001.
