Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has admitted that it would surprise him if any teams decided to opt for anything other than a three-stop strategy in Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.
Vettel, who will start third, said that tyre degradation will not be bad enough to warrant four stops, but does not expect fewer than three from any driver.
"Let's put it this way - I am expecting that we will pit no fewer than three times and no more than four times," he told Formula1.com.
"Running a two-stop strategy here is not worth wasting a thought on and if somebody does it I will eat my hat!"
Mercedes drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton will start first and second respectively.
