Thongchai Jaidee has won the Welsh Open at Celtic Manor to record his maiden victory in Europe.
Jaidee has enjoyed success when the European Tour has visited Asia, but his one-shot success in Wales has seen him win in Europe for the first time.
The Thai player defied a double bogey on the ninth hole to hit back with three consecutive birdies to regain the lead with six holes to play.
However, bogeys at the sixteenth and eighteenth holes failed to halt Jaidee's title challenge and he finished one shot ahead of Gonzalo Fdez-Castano, Richard Sterne, Thomas Bjorn and Joost Luiten.
England's Ross Fisher had been in contention but he was handed a penalty for slow-play when just one shot off the lead, and he eventually finished two shots back.
The round of the day came from Ireland's Paul McGinley but his six-under-par 65 was two shots short of troubling Jaidee for the title.
