Europe overcame their Asian counterparts by a 13-point margin to win the EurAsia Cup in Kuala Lumpur earlier today.
Darren Clarke's European side headed into the final day of singles encounters with a 9-3 advantage thanks to a dominating foursomes performance on Saturday.
It was Danny Willett that clinched the victory with eight matches still left on the course, with Ian Poulter, Andy Sullivan and Lee Westwood having already won their respective fixtures.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, skipper Clarke was full of praise for the experience that Poulter and Westwood provided the team.
"What Lee and Poults have brought to the team room has been priceless," said the Irishman.
"All of the young kids have listened to them, they've all learnt from them and I think it's been a hugely beneficial week.
"Massive credit to them. This Asian team was a strong team and the way Europe has played this week, I've been very, very impressed."
Team Europe eventually won through at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club 18.5 to 5.5.
