Team Wales's flag bearer for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, gymnast Francesca Jones, has confirmed that she will look to become a coach once she retires from competitive action.
Despite being just 23, Jones is already competing at her third Commonwealths and the upcoming Games in Scotland will be her last.
Speaking at the Athletes' Village after she was announced as the flag bearer yesterday, Jones said: "I hope I can carry on coaching and things like that.
"We've got a lot of younger ones coming through and I want to be involved with them. Fingers crossed I'll be able to carry on and coach."
The rhythmic gymnast, who won a silver medal at the last Commonwealths in Delhi, is confident that the legacy of the London Olympics has encouraged more people to take up the sport.
"There's been a massive uptake in Gymnastics," she added. "They've done an amazing job of keeping it going and getting all the enthusiasm behind it."
Jones is part of a three-woman rhythmic team for Wales that are going for medals on the first three days of competition, which start tomorrow.
