Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has revealed that he has signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports label.
The 26-year-old, who won the World Cup with Germany last year, has become the first footballer to join the American rapper's project.
During an interview with Welt am Sonntag, Boateng revealed that he celebrated the deal with Jay Z at the musician's sports bar The 40/40 Club in Brooklyn, New York, before jetting off to the American's private villa in Los Angeles.
"I took my sister and my best friend," said Boateng. "It was a great day with Jay Z. We could ask him anything. We talked mostly about music and football. Jay Z knows about football and has watched numerous games."
The rapper also has boxer Andre Ward, basketball players James Young and Skylar Diggins, as well as baseball player Erick Aybar on his label.
