Bournemouth supporters have raised almost £3,000 to fund the travel costs for Burton Albion fans for their rearranged FA Cup third-round match.
The original fixture was due to go ahead on Saturday, but was called off an hour prior to kickoff due to a waterlogged pitch at the Goldsands Stadium.
At that time, already around 200 Burton fans had made the trip to the South Coast for the encounter, prompting Cherries supporter David Whitehead to organise the initiative.
"It shows there is another side to football," Whitehead told BBC Radio Solent.
"We've now capped the fund at the cost of paying for three coaches and asked Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe to nominate a charity to receive the remaining funds."
The tie has been rescheduled for January 14.
