Juventus and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal is reportedly facing a charge of threatening a police officer during his arrest for drink-driving.
The 28-year-old had his driving licence suspended last week after crashing his Ferrari on a motorway in Santiago while being under the influence of alcohol.
After the crash, in which his wife was a passenger, a video posted by radio station Bio Bio showed Vidal, who is currently competing for Chile in the Copa America, telling Deputy Sergeant Osvaldo Pezoa: "Go ahead and handcuff me, but you're going to shit all over Chile."
According to AFP, the midfielder will be arraigned on July 8 on a charge of threatening a police officer, which could result in jail time for the footballer.
Vidal issued a tearful apology following the incident, which occurred after he and his wife spent a night at a casino.
