David Beckham and his investment group have confirmed their plans to build an MLS stadium next to the Miami Marlins baseball park.
The former England captain's proposals to build a 25,000-capacity stadium were rejected in 2014, but Sprint chief executive Marcelo Claure claimed that the group had presented their intentions to Miami mayor Tomas Regalado.
Despite the initial setback, BBC Sport quoted the ex-Manchester United midfielder as saying: "Delays are frustrating but we will get it right and it will happen."
Beckham played for MLS side LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2012, and announced that he was starting a franchise in Miami back in February 2014.
