UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino has dismissed Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani's allegations that the European football governing body is racist towards the Spanish club.

Al Thani made the allegations on his Twitter account on Tuesday following the Andalucian side's 3-2 away defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

"UEFA is not taking any racist action against any club," ESPN quotes Infantino as saying. "Now depending on what he has said or not said... I can understand if you lose a match in the 93rd minute then the emotions come up and you say things you have not really thought through and should not say.

"I don't know how there could be any racist abuse from UEFA. How can he blame UEFA for racism when [Malaga] lost the game from two late goals?

"We will analyse his comments and the UEFA disciplinary inspectors will act if they have to act depending on what has been said."

Malaga's defeat in Germany saw them get knocked out of the competition.
