Grand National-winning jockey Ryan Mania will be discharged from hospital later on today after suffering minor neck and back injuries.
The 23-year-old has been under medical care in Newcastle for the last two days following his fall at Hexham on Sunday.
The Scotsman's agent Bruce Jeffrey has confirmed that the jockey will be permitted to leave the hospital following required scans.
"Ryan had his MRI scan this morning and it has shown up a very small fracture in his C7 vertebra and there is also some soft tissue and ligament damage," said Jeffrey.
"Ryan feels fine in himself and he is up and walking about perfectly fine. He is hoping to be back in the saddle in the very near future."
Mania suffered the injuries just a day after riding 66-1 outsider Auroras Encore to victory in the Grand National on Saturday.
