Argentina football legend Diego Maradona was baptised in the River Jordan during a recent visit to West Asia.
The 54-year-old visited the site with his fiancee Rocio Oliva, whom the former footballer allegedly hit during an argument in October last year.
Both Oliva and Maradona, who is responsible for the infamous 'Hand of God' goal against England in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final, underwent the religious service.
According to the Daily Mail, Maradona was visiting the country to give his backing to Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, who is challenging Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency.
