Gary Lineker has criticised Premier League clubs for hiking up their ticket prices ahead of the new campaign.
Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that over half of the 20 clubs in the top flight have upped their prices for the 2014-15 season.
Lineker, who anchors BBC football highlights show Match of the Day, believes that the £5.5 billion generated by the new TV deals makes increasing ticket prices unnecessary.
Newly-promoted club Queens Park Rangers have reportedly increased their ticket prices by 38%.
