Rangers deny reported links to an alleged fraudster who is said to have visited Ibrox and the club's training ground.

Rangers have dismissed suggestions that an alleged fraudster was given a tour of the club's stadium and training ground in Glasgow.

The Telegraph reports that one of the Blues' prospective buyers, Malaysian businessman Datuk Faizoull Bin Ahmad, was shown around Ibrox and the Murray Park complex, but accompanied an individual wanted by Interpol – Razat Rizvi.

Rangers issued a statement, which denied any direct connection between Rizvi and the club, claiming that he was "an adviser" to Bin Ahmad.

A group of disgruntled Gers fans - the Union of Fans - have called for the club's current chairman Sandy Easdale to leave his role.

On the field, Rangers progressed to the next round of the Scottish League Cup at the expensive of Premiership outfit Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
