A teenage fan of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he has spent "thousands" to look like his idol.
Seventeen-year-old Shanta, from Odense, Denmark, copies the three-time Ballon d'Or winner's hairstyles and also buys the same clothes as the Portuguese star.
In an interview with The Mirror, the teenager, who has visited Madrid five times this year to meet Ronaldo, admitted that his obsession with the 30-year-old is "enormous".
Shanta, who uses the surname Ronaldo, has claimed that he began fixating on the former Manchester United player when the attacker joined Real for a then-world record £80m fee in 2009.
"My obsession for Cristiano is enormous," said Shanta. "I've no idea how much I've spent emulating him - it's definitely in the thousands though. The reason I wanted to get a life like him is that he is rich, famous and living the life."
The youngster had a trial with Real's academy in October last year.
