Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has given fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming documentary about his life by releasing the official trailer.

The feature-length piece, which is titled Ronaldo, provides behind-the-scenes access to the Ballon d'Or winner's life over a 14-month period.

The film, which will hit cinemas later this year, has been created by the makers of Senna and Amy.

In the trailer, Ronaldo discusses his lifelong desire to be the best, and also dips into his relationships with friends and family, including his young son Cristiano Jr.
