Serie A side Roma have announced plans to build a new 60,000-seater stadium inspired by the Colosseum.
The privately-financed ground, which has temporarily been named 'Stadio della Roma', is expected to hold 52,000 seats, but will be expanded for major football matches.
In a presentation on Wednesday, club president James Pallotta said: "Our future home is going to frighten our opponents. I would not want to be in their shoes."
Reports in Italy have claimed that the stadium, which is expected to be completed by the 2016-17 season on the outskirts of the Italian capital, will cost around £250m.
