Castleford Tigers have been beaten for the sixth time in the Super League this season with a 26-22 loss at Hull Kingston Rovers.
Travis Burns converted his own score with seven minutes played to get the hosts on their way before Kris Welham touched down to extend the advantage.
However, Kirk Dixon added the extras to his try midway through the half to get the Tigers on the board.
David Hodgson scored minutes later to put Hull 14-6 ahead, but Jake Webster's try, converted by Dixon, reduced the deficit minutes before the break.
Castleford then took the lead on the stroke of half time as Richard Owen touched down to make the score 16-14 in favour of the visitors.
Tries from Hodgson and Craig Hall, both converted by Burns, saw Hull regain the initiative 10 minutes into the second period, while Daryl Clark's score was added to by Dixon with 20 minutes to play as Castleford set up a nervy finish.
Despite plenty of tense play from both sides in the final stages, the Tigers were unable to snatch the win.
