Hull Kingston Rovers were able to survive a late push from Leeds Rhinos to secure a 16-12 win in the Super League this evening.
Leeds grabbed an early lead as Kallum Watkins found the try line, but Jordan Cox soon levelled for the visitors.
Rovers took the lead just before half time as Rhys Lovegrove forced his way over the line, despite having spent time off the pitch with a head injury earlier in the game.
The visitors added two penalties to extend their lead to 10 points after the break, but another try from Watkins inside the final 10 minutes gave Rhinos some late hope.
Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow pushed hard to create another try-scoring opportunity for the hosts, and almost found Ryan Hall in the final minute of the game, but he lost the ball just metres from the line.
